I want to hate you
I want to forget you
You have no right to my love
You have no right to my tears
You filled my heart with life
You filled my heart with tears
You stole into the depths of me
Before I could lock the doors
I remember your touch like falling rain
I see your smile in all my shadows
I hear your voice in all my dreams
My hello mirrors me in your goodbye
I want to not love you
I want to not remember me with you
You hold the will to my love
You have the balm to my tears
Is your heart broken my angel?
Remember your promise.
Your heart broke… when you broke mine.

Broken hearts leave vicious scars…
Reminds me of what Joseph Campbell writes about love, its sadness and joy two sides of the same coin. It’s good you can feel both though it may not seem so. One and the other are inseparable. Thanks for the poem.
Thank you. So true….love and hate, joy and sadness..just flip sides of the same coin.
wow…. you honestly must be talking about my life right now….
Thanks for the comment. Incredible how a random poem can resonate with one, isn’t it?
