Nightmares Flee

Whispers in the night,
Fill the room with fright.
Hold me still, protect me,
Make these nightmares flee.

I can not hold my head up,
To look you in the eye.
I can not close my eyes,
And promise not to cry.

I’ve fallen and I’ve broken,
I’m gone beyond repair.
I’m missing and I’m empty,
Needing you to care.

I’m scared of things I hear,
They fill my soul with fear.
I need you now to hold me,
Please make these nightmares flee.

I trust you not to hurt me,
And I trust you not to leave.
I trust you to protect me,
And hold me when I grieve.

I’m learning now to smile,
From everything you do.
And I’m always gonna mean it,
When I say that I love you.

    Hello Sweet childofagodunseen,
I recognise these words too, you have an amazing way of expressing the darkness. Be comforted in His light He will never leave you. You are too precious to Him.
